So how does this actually work? I mean for the buying/selling bit.

Say if you want to sell ABC and its market price is $1.00. If I put in as my selling price as $1.10 will it just wait for the market price to get to $1.10 to sell?

I am going so badly I have stopped checking. I'm just going to leave it for a couple weeks and hope for a turn around.

I decided before I signed up that I wasn't going to bother repeatedly buying and selling... I just bought some shares and am now leaving them until the game ends.

Finished 2nd in my uni.

Made a killing on Sundance Resources in the last week.

How are the prizes structured? Is there a prize for top 3 in each uni or something?

EDIT: checked the site, there isn't even a prize for the number 1 in each uni.

There are no prizes for uni rankings. The prizes are only for the top 10 overall.

So the fact that I was first in my uni means nothing because I came 24th overall.

My friends wouldn't care.

48,000 on Felix Resources
15,000 on Origin Energy
8,500 on Arrow Energy
3,000 on Austal

... and I made 2,000 in dividends.

I was something like 8,000 up on Macquarie Bank but it ended up at -1800

I also had BHP, Alumina and Orica... which basically did nothing and ended up less than 300 different either way.

I bought around the second day and then didn't change anything the entire time.

Yeah I didn't want to actively trade either (didn't have the time + I don't really know shit about trading). I changed my positions up every now and then though, because I figured that if I won, the JP guys would want to see that I at least had some sort of trading 'strategy'.

I wish I got in on Felix! I almost put the order through and I can't even remember why I didn't.

Im quite disappointed with this competition. The last email where you had to fix up the mistakes in the analyst report was the only one I actually bothered to enter, and there was no email back saying who won in the next issue, and I have sent an email a week ago, and still no email back.

On top of JPMorgan calling write downs 'wright downs!'
