I don't think this was rape. It's a pretty fucked up case either way. It was probably wrong (but he wouldn't be the first guy or girl to continue sex when their partner is asleep!) but rape is far to harsh a word to describe this case.

I don't think something like this is clear cut enough to simply be labelled rape and treated as such. If we do accept that this was a rape, is that really a useful term in describe the conduct that occurred?
There was seemingly no malicious intent, he was inebriated and she had already consented. Yes it was moronic to continue after she passed out, and to an extent this can be categorised as assault, but do any of you really think this guy deserves a heavy jail sentence?
