Yep, I'm glad I'm out of school
(Sorry, as much as I love my school, it's a great feeling not having to shave, get a haircut, or put on a uniform. That is, until the HSC begins, where I'll have to shave daily, comb my hair and put on that uniform again... )

For the last few lessons of IPT, we were supposed to look at the Standards Package on the computers and the IT administrator at our school had been 'getting around to putting Acrobat on all PCs' -- that hasn't happened for a week+

So everybody had been visiting BOS, clicking .pdf links and trying to open pdf's without having Acrobat Reader installed. (It was funny to see people trying the "Open with..." -> notepad option, rofl!)


So we were all directed to visit www.adobe.com only to find out that:

a) .exe file extensions were blocked (naturally), OR

b) our Internet usage (download quota) for the month had been exceeded... just great


Did I mention how good it feels to be out of school and on my own (unrestricted) computer?

Our teacher tried to block everything but i would just go around the proxy and have full access to the internet, hehe bloody idiot of a teacher.
We used the computer alot but i guess the class got sick of it, i did.

We tried to get around ours, but our IT admin was pretty smart.

Disabled every shortcut/key combination out there, besides winkey + pausebreak, but then we didn't have administrative rights, so that was useless.

We were left with nothing in the start menu, besides internet explorer and office xp (word, access, excel etc).

It sucked... what sucks even more? NO RIGHT CLICK!
I have said this in another thread, but I'm glad I'm on a unrestricted computer at home
