Ken Webb? (1 Viewer)

I was looking for textbooks to buy for each individual topic for the HSC course and came across a guy called Ken Webb. Coincidently he had put out textbooks on all the topics we're doing next year. Maybe some of you current yr 12 can let us know whether it is worth it to buy his textbooks (since I don't know much about him and his books) or recommend other textbooks to buy.

Anyway if it helps my topics are:
-WWI (core)
-Germany (national study)
-Albert Speer (personality study)
-War in Indochina (International Peace and Conflict)

Yeah, Ken Webb's a pretty good textbook writer and I think he teaches at Pymble Girls High. I'd definitely recommend him!

Ken webb is good. we got his books for ww1, germany, speer and extension history and they all seem good. My teacher apparently knows him though so it could be bias

Kenn Webb is easily the god of Modern History. Thats all you really need to know.

I had him as a teacher last year and he is fabulous and i beleive the text books are ment to be good as well

but i dont know...i reckon he does lack a little bit of sophistication
dont just venture of into one historians perspective on everything
i dont know your options, but for the core their are heaps such as D.Winter for all the trenches and attitudes, Thompson for all the straegys tactics e.t., and AJP Taylor for that spice and overall anaylsis

hes a senorp marker in the hsc my mum is a normal hsc marker and she swears by ken webb whatever he says goes

ken webb is my god and his books are my bible for modern history. get his books they are really good.

went to lecture today... he was literally sick, so he wasn't as enthused as mckensara makes him out to be. His lecture was good but i wouldn't say "OMG GOD OF HISTORY" material.
