I would like to know what KISS notes are as well and where to find them..They probably might help in the upcoming half yearly exams.

Kiss notes are crap. They're not to the point and you should really be making your own notes.

dotpoint books are great, but kiss is very good too. I've been wondering, where do you buy them?

Dotpoints? From any Angus and Robertson or Dymocks shop. Schools usually sell them too.

You're suppose to buy them though, from your school..cos some guy actually makes them up..sells them to schools n that's his living.

Yeah it's cheaper.

As for the KISS notes, they would be good as the basic structure for your own more detailed but concise notes, as well as reminders when you're doing some quick revising like when travelling or just before an exam. Actually studying from them doesn't seem to be a good idea though.

You can get k.i.s.s from your teacher. Well my teacher provided them for us

I think they're useful. Well, at least for Biology, as that's the subject I have them for! A lot of it is just waffle, but it helps you get into it and enjoy the topic- the summary you have to fill in at the end is really good I find though.

We get kiss notes in chemistry, teacher just photocopies each chapter ^^ I wish we got them for bio, we get 'surfing' worksheets, which have fairly crap summaries, and use spotlight textbooks... I have some different text books at home though so it's okay. Perhaps you could look in your local library ?
Or if you really wanted them get angus and robertson to order it in for you? I find a combination of spotlight textbook, dot points, kiss and other teachers notes is working fine for me in chem atm, maybe next year I'll get conquering chem though because I hear it's the best.
Anyway, waffle waffle, goodluck finding them ^^

My chemistry teacher gives them to us accordingly with the information. I'm the only one in the class that reads them and makes notes from them or at least considers them haha. I think they are a really good compliation of notes. Detailed yet simple.

And it's much better as Keep it Simple Stupid.
