AN elderly woman found guilty of killing a kitten by "whacking" it against a fence has been punched out by a neighbour.
Teleah Maud Mills, 24, of Pinjarra, pleaded guilty to unlawful assault causing harm with circumstances of aggravation when she appeared in Mandurah Magistrate’s Court on Friday, inmycommunity.com.au reports.
She was fined $1500.
Police prosecutor Senior Constable Mick Fallows said Mills had been drinking with friend Kylie Brewer for much of the day on May 11.
He said the two confronted neighbour Helen Hare, 62, and they got into a heated argument about an ongoing dispute about a kitten.
The court was told Mills struck the victim with a clenched fist to the face, causing the victim to fall over into a garden bed.
Mills leaned over the victim and struck her twice to the face until Ms Brewer pulled her away.
Ms Hare sustained minor bruising and lost her front tooth.
Mills claimed Ms Hare had provoked her.
“She said my kids were going to meet the same fate as the kitten,” Mills told the court.
Last Thursday Ms Hare was fined $2000 in the same court for killing a kitten by hitting it against a fence while children looked on.
Lol abos.
