Laptop Cooling Pads (1 Viewer)

Does anyone here have one? I realise that;
a) my new laptop gets hot easily; and gets noisy too.
b) the angle is not that comfortable to type on (same for my work laptop which I'm using right now)
c) the laptop keyboard I'm using now also gets a bit warm

So all in all, getting a laptop cooler pad seems like a good idea. I'm all for making my laptop last longer too even if it means spending quite a bit on an overglorified stand + fan.

Any pointers/tips?

Cooler Master seems very popular in Singapore and is available at a lot of shops. I tried Googling but reviews aren't that clear as to which ones are suitable. I'm more focussed on getting something slim/not too heavy as it needs to be able to fit in my desk drawer when not in use, for my Inspiron 7559. Hopefully it can tilt a bit to make it more comfortable, ability to turn the fans down a bit if too noisy, and having some USB ports would be nice too so I can use it like a docking station.

Don't have space for one in my condo (did not need to be ultra portable, but just able to put inside drawer when not in use), and not much help since already bought a laptop.

I have a cheap one from ebay that works decently well and is actually pretty slim
the usb cable can be a bit annoying, but it might just be the one I have

generally speaking
bigger fans = less noise

I noticed my computer started over heating, I used speccy and it said it was like 70*C+ but I got this of ebay: FAN and got it in the mail 2 days ago and since I've been using it my computer just fluctuates from 40-60*C. I think it is worth it for $10

Ended up buying a Cooler Master Ergostand Lite. Offers the height advantage as well as cooling. Only issue with this is I bought a Logitech G710+ keyboard and the cable is so thick it can't fit under the stand at the front.

I realise nowadays when playing Overwatch my CPU jumps up to around 70-75 degrees celcius whilst GTX960M GPU is circa 62.

Poorly designed ones might do that... unless you're plugging it into an external power supply, I'm a bit more careful about what I plug into my devices. I'm actually considering the Cooler Master Ergostand III which is a bit taller (and not as deep) so it might fit better on my desk. It also uses external power source too so it doesn't drain on my laptop like my Ergostand Lite.

I ended up buying the Ergostand III. It isn't as long so it fits better on my desk and now my Logitech G710+ keyboard with palm wrest fits comfortably. The design also allows the really thick keyboard cable to fit under the stand, and now the laptop feels a lot more supported.

This is the one I have at home, although it may be a bit loud in the beginning, it helps a lot in Summer.

AH yes I saw that unit on display. It's the Cooler Master with the two fans where you can clip it wherever you want underneath. Looked pretty cool. I'm finding my Cooler Master Ergostand III does a better job of keeping my Inspiron cooler than the Ergostand Lite. Before I would idle around 50, but now, I'm idling around the 30-40 mark.
