I think id actually like to vote Latham now... Howard's 25% HECS fee increase is proposterous. I almost feel ashamed that my uncle is good friends with him...

Not all uni's are increasing the HECS. If you really feel it is that big an issue then go to ANU or something where it is not increased. I would be more concerned about the reduction of the discount if you pay ahead (ie 20% instead of 25%).

Whether they reverse it or not isn't really a big problem for me, UoW hasn't increased it's HECS yet.

Is it actually possible for Latham to reverse the 25% increase? Won't unis have to cut back on things? I wonder if the unis will be able to argue their way out of doing it..

You'd find that the majority are Xayma. And it's a big issue for me, but I'm not going to stand back, give in and make ANU my first preference...

I want that Uni of Melb degree god dammit! lol. And considering the extreme living expenses in cities, I doubt that reducing the 'paying up front discount' will impact on many people.
