But you're right, consideration isn't an issue. There didn't need to be a contract for you to have had an immediate right to possession of the goods.

The friend, having had experience with some business law (through his accounting major) attempted to mess with me and talk about CONSIDERATION.

All this consideration reminded me of that case that found that love and kindness is not a form of consideration.
