how long would a question of 7-8 marks be? i'm not so sure about length, but i have a 'sample 8 mark question' that seems way too long (it has 3 short body paragraphs, intro and conclusion which makes me think it would be more of an essay worth more marks).

For a 7-8 marker, I would write 3 paragraphs (2 examples for whatever topic you're writing on per paragraph). For myself, that would be about 1-1.5 pages as I am quite concise in my writing (My handwriting is in the middle of small/medium). But overall 2 pages should be more than enough.
