Re: Libya part 2

if western countries can impose a no-fly zone over libya because civilians will be slaughtered

why don't they impose one over palestine?

Re: Libya part 2

nothing. whatever government comes into place instead of gaddafi's will be just as despotic and authoritarian as his, but his time was out so they needed a new reliable supplier.

Re: Libya part 2

A no-flight zone of Palestine wouldn't achieve anything. The rebels will pay for this favour with oil.

Re: Libya part 2

Woah at some of these comments... This war is not just with Gaddafi, its the Libyan people fighting against him. No one understands the brutality of this man's regime and how badly things were. Its not a tribe vs whatever kinda thing, this is way off the reality of whats happening there. Libya is a country thats richer then Dubai or even Kuwait and so it has a lot of potential. Libyans are only 6 million people. Have you guys even met Libyans before? They are some of the nicest people you would ever meet. But it is really time to defend our rights and after 42 years, Libyans have had enough.

how the fuck did you manage to get some sort of anti-libyan vibe out of this thread

im pretty sure everyone is aware of the brutality, hence why we were all calling for intervention, when most of us are strongly opposed to internation intervention in state affairs.

whether they are nice people or not has nothing to do with it lol man you need to improve your comprehension skills

I didn't get an anti-libyan vibe, just a misunderstanding of the situation from some of the comments. Bitch my comprehension rocks :p

Re: Libya part 2

The endgame appears to have begun.

Rebels advancing into Tripoli. Now 8km from the city centre. Reports they are being welcomed as liberating heroes.

Gaddafi presidential guard surrenders to rebels. Regime appears to be crumbling.

90% of Tripoli is now in rebel hands according to the Libyan ambassador to the UN.

Re: Libya part 2

Im very surpised the war is coming to an end soon or Gadhafi is going to be overthrown :)... But just strange how a group of poorly armed civilian rebels can take over the capital pretty quickly against well armed and trained government troops.. just guess they're all defecting or either his army sucks =.=...
