VOLUNTEER TUTORS NEEDED FOR ONLINE TUTORING PROGRAM Hi everyone, we are eTutors Project, a non-profit organisation started by a group of high school and university students.

Our mission is to provide free tutorial education to underprivileged children who are struggling to adjust to the reality of post-covid education from K - Year9. You can find more information about our organisation through our website: https://etutorsproject.org/

We are looking for passionate volunteer tutors (ages 16 and above) who are willing to provide whatever time they have available to assist students from K-9. Tutors can sign up from any state/territory in Australia through our website. You will be paired with students in need and are expected to have a virtual meeting for at least 1 hour a week where you will help them with their school work.

For those looking for scholarships dependent on community engagement and leadership, such as the New Colombo Plan Scholarship, or equity scholarships which typically also have this in their criteria, this seems like a pretty good opportunity NGL.

Hey I was wondering if we tutor for a year or something like that will the tutors get a document or certificate that they have been teaching for x amount of time and helped x amount of students, this would help for me to show to overseas uni's.

Hi there,
Thanks for the question! We don't provide services for years 10-12 yet because they require tutors to have more specialised knowledge, and we would like to make sure that we have tutors who are qualified enough before providing services for them. We're definitely working on it though!

Hi there! Thanks for the question - you don't have to prepare your own materials, the student will come to you with material that they need help with. However, each student is different so make sure to liaise with the parent to discuss the students' needs.

Also some universities in NSW (probably other states as well) offer early entry based on community volunteering involvement e.g. Macquarie Leaders and Achievers & ACU Community Achiever Program. However, written references will be required.
