Lorde has really thoughtful lyrics in her songs and I like her style as well
For Miley, regardless of her public image, she's not a bad singer.

In terms of how long they'll stay relevant in music industry, it's hard to tell.

I prefer Lorde's music to Miley's, but that's just a matter of personal taste I suppose.
I think they are both fantastic singers, Lorde's music has more thought provoking lyrics and Miley's music is more upbeat poppy music that people can dance along to. In my opinion, both singers have different styles and their music serves different purposes so I can't really compare the two.
Yeah, I agree, it's a bit hard to tell how much longer they'll stay relevant but from the looks of it, Lorde has quite a promising career ahead of her

Lorde is just starting out, but I believe she does have potential, but most singers who debut at 16/17 don't get too far.

Asides from a few exceptions of course.
