i had a better look and i still think the pathway is a bit grey but it does look good with the new lights.

They were sooo much more yellowy when they were first put in -- I think they had cheap paint or something, which washed off.

omfg! the construction now is much worse than before. I mean, they've blocked off the most used path in the uni (the stairs in front of the library)!

Yeah I reckon.. I bumped into a friend outside the door and was having a chat when the friggin drill or whatever it is started up.. I went deaf.

And now there's no easy access from library to SAM ><

isn't there an exit on the bottom floor of the library (past the stacks there are double doors which go around the back and take you out to the co-op bookshop area.

Also, is there an openable door at IT services that could be used if you need a short cut???

go the first years for telling us where exits are - where is the exit near stack? if i go into the library, turn left and walk down the stairs to the half of the stack collection that is just there, is the exit there as well?

Yup - go down the stairs, you will see a glass double door exit in front of you - right near the long 'art gallery' walk to student services - I don't know if it is alarmed or not, but i'll be checking it out tomorrow.

Yeah I used it yesterday... I got soooo annoyed!!

The sliding doors don't work if you're coming in from the outside... So I had to press the button for some person to come... but instead of coming up to open the door.. he just stopped behind the detectors.. and pressed a remote thing.. so I just stood there thinking "wtf is this guy doing".. and he stands there and presses the button again... only for me to realise that I actually need to move around a bit so the doors can sense my presence... ahhaha LAME

That's why I said there's no "easy" access.. it's just so inconvenient..

Then since I've never been down there, I practically lost myself in the sea of asians on the computers blocking the door to the stairs..

i'm a bit behind in things. first day back at uni today........and i got lost trying to get to the sam building from the w block.

everytime i thought there would be a way through.........it was fenced. i ended up walking from w all the way around to like where e7b is.

i didnt know the construction situation got this bad.

I used it yesterday. I dont know how to get into it though... I just followed a bunch of people who were trying to get in while the door remained open (obviously they dont know how to use it either!).

The uni is completely screwed. It cannot take, what, nearly 7 months to build a friggin path! It doesnt even twist and turn - its just a straight path from one end to the other.

Give us our damn uni back, bastards!!!

i wish they'de fix the fountain and stuff outside the sam building and the grassy (or lack thereof) area in front of the lincoln building..

and the grassy area on the opposite side of the flag poles!

I need more sitting areas! and tables and like stone tables or something... the uni still needs to be revamped if u ask me

omg uni construction is still so gay
yesterday i was already 20mins late to my tute but then i got lost walking around everywhere,cuz everywhere i went, it was fenced off. so then when it was like 40 mins into my tute, i just decided to skip it. so now, if i skip any more tutes im gonna fail the unit. YAY.
so then i decided to go to the library. after standing at the level 1 exit for a while and not knowing how to open the door, i decided to go shopping.
what a waste of a day lol
i eventually found my way to the front of the library... but still... grr so dumb! i missed a tute cuz of it and now i cant make my own stuvac! grr lol

i hate uni atm
