What is the Macquarie O Week like? Do the various student groups and associations have stalls set up so you can register or is this done at a different time?

I'm very excited I hope it is buzzing around campus!

I can't wait. Some people who have gone there told me it varies year to year depending on the quality of planning and number of stands. Hope it is good.

I can't wait. I'm going to sign up for a lot of clubs/societies. What's the avg. membership fee like?

Hahhah yeah.

I am gonna pick up the indoor soccer team sign up sheet at O-Week and thats it lol.

Most societies are a joke anyway. The only one worth joining is the WANG club - you get sausages every 3 weeks or so.

How does o week work? i see there are lots of activities on during the four days... so does this mean we actually go to lectures? or is it just all the students doing whatever..?

so let me get this straight
during o week you still have to attend lecture, tutorials, practicals, etc
but there is still like random crap going on at the uni
eg giant jenga, student groups and of course free bbq

O week really isn't any more exciting withour classes, if you don't have classes then you're going in just for O week and often its not really worth it.
I agree, why travel all the way to uni to check out some stalls. I will only be going because I have class.

O-Week is sooo good! The WANG club dancers were hilarious! There was such a good vibe around the place. Definitely worth checking out.
