Hey guys,

I need some advice here: I graduated from MQ uni last year with a bachelor degree in Applied Finance. Now I'm thinking abt getting a Master degree and I kind of want to get into the actuarial studies field. Is it advisable that I take the Master of Commerce with the 2 specialisations: one in Actuarial Studies and the other in Accounting or Finance, or I should take Master of Actuarial Studies instead?

Thanks for your advise.

Well the question is what kind of work/job do you actually want to do? No point getting all these graduate/masters qualifications which won't mean much in the field.

ps. Surprised you did Applied Finance and are making the jump to Accounting. Assuming you didn't land a grad role, do you think you are likely to be sufficiently good in either of those fields? Actuarial is particularly competitive.
