hey ppls, i just wanted to ask. they said that if you're doing a double degree commerce-maths u should be doing math1151. im doing commerce/science and i went to ask someone from the maths office if im meant to be doing it and she goes no.

the thing is math1151 is for actuary and finance. im not planning on doing either but does that mean i still have to do it cause the lecturer did say for double degree students.

NEED HELP!!! im totally confused should i be doing 1151 or 1141 ?

if anyone can offer an authentic word(or paragraph) of advice, it would be much appreciated:thanks in advance

No, you dont have to do 1151. 1151 is only for acturial and B Sc (finance and maths) students. 1131 or 1141 is fine if you are doing com/sci.

Stick with MATH1151 as you learn a lot more and get scaled a lot too.

Also, Tacon can be quite entertaining at times.

Thought I might point this out. Just because the lecturer says so, doesn't mean it's correct. The lecturer is simply, a lecturer, and at most a course-authority. They do not constitute a program authority, which says what you can or cannot do. In Commerce/Science the program authority is Commerce. If it's a query about the science component, you ask science.
