lol Winston i feel the same way hahah, but on the positive side i think i worked out the ellipse thing for question 1.a.i.

once you get it into the ellipse equation form you sub in 0, 1 and 2 for z and then draw each one on the x,y axis

part ii you have to draw it 2 dimensional and i got no idea

if we sub in z = 0 we'll have a^2 = 4 and b^2 = 16

do we square root them to get a and b?

and how do we know which side it goes, is the longer part going up or going sideways?

yeah tahts what i did anyway, not sure if its right. it turned out 8 units high by 4 units wide i think.... as i said not sure, i havnt drawn it yet lol, only a draft sketch

hmmm this is strange Wyvern, im getting like -5 for a^2 when z = 3 and -20 for b^2 :S
