hello!! i'm doing medical science at unsw next year and i'm just a bit confused about which level of maths to do. I did ext 1 maths in HSC and got a high band 6 for both 2U and 3U. I tried 4U out for a bit and absolutely hated it/didn't understand it. So now I'm not too sure which level of math to do for uni. Math1041 is more statistics I think and math1131 is more algebra and calculus. Does anyone have any advice? My aim is to maximise my GPA so I can try transfer into medicine. Thanks.

if you just want to maximise gpa then do math1041. Its extremly easy (most of it is memorizing formulas then plugging) and you can get 90+ studying 3 days before finals.

MATH1041 is easier but I found it boring. MATH1131 is much more interesting!

MATH1041 is a walk in the park compared to doing MATH1131. That said, MATH1131 is much more interesting, though I hear it's basically a repeat of the 4u course
