If I pick 1141 wouldnt my WAM be impacted? I dont see any advantage of picking MATH11411, could anyone explain which Math I should pick.

Math1141 gets scaled quite a lot and Math1131 pretty much gets zero scaling.

Same game as the HSC, do the course that best fits your ability.

Your WAM isnt raw mark?
Its the average of your final marks in all your courses. Your final mark in Math1141 will get scaled up since it’s directly harder than 1131.

Oh right thank you that makes more sense, I will probably go for MATH1141 then. I also had another question can I not overload in my first term? 1608887916794.png

Im debating on math1131 or 1141, 1131 would be relatively easy but the benefits of 1141 seem so much better (scaling, mark cap on 1131). Any insights?

If you're passionate and good at maths, do 1141. Also if you're degree is something math based like engineering e.g. electrical engineering, I would recommend doing 1141 as the skills learnt from the maths course will translate over to other focus areas (that contain intense math) within the degree.
