Hi all,
This is my first post, so hopefully I've posted this in the right place. I'm returning to Uni to get a second Bachelors degree in a different field. I originally studied Business at MQ, and after working as a business analyst for a while, I'm wanting to make the switch into engineering (Mechanical) while I'm still young enough.
I graduated high school in 2005 in Los Angeles, and didn't really have a great maths education there, so I'll probably need to start from the ground up. I completed Algebra 1 and Trig there, but that's the extent of my maths knowledge. I'm not naive, and I know that I'm coming into this degree extremely under-gunned from a maths perspective, but I'm determined to make it work, and willing to put in the hard yards.
I didn't qualify for MATH135 so I'll need to take MATH130, but am worried that even that is out of my capabilities. Can someone who has taken this unit please chime in and tell me what material is covered? Algebra I, II, trigonometry and pre-calculus is what I've read elsewhere, but I'd like to get some first hand accounts from people who have taken it.
Many thanks in advance!
Lucias
