You could leave it to 2 dp cuz there was a question that was exactly the same in 2021 hsc where there was like 54.4 babies (i don’t remember the right number)
no this is legit why I left it not rounded because in that practice papers they left it unrounded also

What photo, idk what your talking about??
Idk if you actually said that or if you deleted it, to answer the question
“What made you get the calculator?”
I had previously dual wielded an fx100 au plus 1st and 2nd into tests and saw some dude on conquerhsc say that a new calculator that gives exact values was approved so I bought one and now I use both types of calculators
FX-100 au plus is better for small calculations and combinatorics
FX-8200 AU is better for trig exact values, statistics (2u) and projectile motion. It is horrendous for binomial statistics

For Q31(c), it seems you need to assume that the four students are mutually independent with respect to their availability on next Saturday night. I don't think was able to be deduced from what is given in the question. Given that part (a) was all about independence with respect to availability next Friday and Saturday night for a particular student, you would think it's even more important than normal to state that the four students are independent from each other with respect to their availability (if that indeed was what was supposed to be assumed).

One scenario could be that all four students are best friends and always go out together (if they do go out) on Friday and/or Saturday nights. All the probabilities given earlier in the question could still apply. If that were the case, then the probability that at least one is not available next Saturday would be 1/5. This is clearly different to what I think was intended, namely 1-(4/5)^4.

Do you agree? Or is this question just fine as it is and I'm wrong?
Advanced was on Monday and I rly don’t like advanced but I think I got the same answer as you
