Ahhh okok icic makes senseApproximately 38% of MX2 candidates get an E4 every year. NESA wants to keep it like that every year, hence they adjust the E4 cutoff mark to fit that percentage.

How well a subject scales is directly based on English performance. If most people in math extension 2 do bad on their extension 2 test but good on English, the scaling will be very goodI dont get it how does this work too

It doesn’t work like that lol, though maybe indirectly. The scaling for Maths Ext2 is based on their performance in Maths Ext1. If the Ext2 cohort does worse than the non-Ext2 cohort in Ext1, then Ext2 will scale worse than Ext1. However usually the opposite happens because more capable students choose to do Ext2.I dont get it how does this work too
