Re: 4 unit maths???????/

If you have a love of maths then you should do it because you already have good enough results to do 4unit by the looks of it.

Your results aren't -horrible- and since You're Top 5, I think you could do 4U.

Re: 4 unit maths???????/

I reckon you could probably do it but you'll have to reconsider how much work it'll probably take. You have 13 units at the moment so you'll definately need to drop one subject if you want to do well.

Re: 4 unit maths???????/

my teacher said 4U-material kids should be getting:
90s in 2UNIT and 80s in 3UNIT.

maybe she ws exaggerating a little idk
anyway, i reckon as long as you're prepared to work hard, and you have to love maths.

Re: maths preliminary

We have nearly completed the textbook, but if you want to know what we have actually LEARNT, then not much at all.
It's just lucky for me that Maths Tutors exist.

Nah, I reckon that sounds about right for people wanting to do 4U.

Re: 4 unit maths???????/

Your rankings suggest that you are more than capable of studying Mathematics Extension 2.

Re: 4 unit maths???????/

Personally I dont think marks are the best way of deciding if you are capable of doing a subject. My maths teacher told me I should do 4 unit and I got 47% on the Extension 1 half yearly!! (he sets very difficult exams).

Your ranks show you can definately do 4 unit but I guess it depends if you are confident with the current work and you are passionate. Good Luck :)

my 3unit is just one class not two separate classes, is that how it's like for everyone ?
Yeah, we only have one mathematics class. I don't understand this thing where you have an Advanced Mathematics class and a separate Extension 1 Mathematics class. I mean what's the point? At least with English, you know you'll be studying different modules and texts, but what's the point in Mathematics?
