Sorry about the world's worst pun.
Umm, well, I know it's not as necessary, but I won't study maths if it's not on BoS tonight, so I started. Everyone join in!

Don't know how this will work, just copy and paste questions from past papers I suppose. Here goes!

Question:
Jarrod has 43 stickers, Timothy has 27 and Abigail has 14. Jarrod wants them to
share the stickers equally.
How many stickers will Jarrod have to give away so that all three children have
the same number of stickers?

How many stickers will Jarrod have to give away so that all three children have
the same number of stickers?

Total = 84 Stickers.

84/3 = 28 stickers each.

43-28 = Jarrod has to give away 15 stickers. So each child has 28.

Someone else ask a question for, Ive got none i can think of.

A bit late?

It takes 24 seconds to cut a loaf of bread into 4 slices, how long does it take to cut it into 6 slices?

24/4 = 6

6 x 6 = 36 seconds?

Uhh Solve this Equation;

4y + 7= -4

Firstly, work out how long it takes to cut one slice:
24/4 = 6

6 x 6 = 36 Seconds.

Edit:
4y + 7 = -4
4y = -4 + 7
4y = 3
y = 3/4

:) My go.

The speed limit on a dangerous bend in a road has been reduced from 50km/h to 30km/h

What is the percentage reduction in speed around the bend ?

This is how id do it, i'd multiply both by 2, to get it to 100km/h and 60km/h, which means its a 40% reduction. Is that right?

Seeing as no one did my question,

Solve this Equation;

4y + 7= -4

You guys are all WRONG!!!

It's 40 seconds!!!

It takes 3 cuts to make 4 slices and 5 cuts to make 6 slices.

24/3=8
8*5=40

Therefore it's 40 seconds!

This was actually in an old SC I think so be careful...

Yeah, was in a school certificate a few years back, only it was a log, not a loaf of bread. Half of maths is comprehension nowadays, they made it that way. Part of integrating all the subjects together. Eew.

I'm guessing (B)..Just did it in my head..is it correct?
'twas B indeed!

A supermarket sells soap powder in different sized packages. Which is the best
buy?
(A) 750 g for $2.49 (B) 1 kg for $3.28
(C) 1.7 kg for $5.65 (D) 2 kg for $6.75
