i'm not sure but judging from open & info days, UTS seems to have better resources for the course...

yeh i agree with nomza about the unsw comment .....
their media and communications course is more of a multimedia sort of course ... its not really related to actual media / journalism all that much

I'm not stupid, of course I know the UAI says nothing about the course...if I was doing that I would've made a statement about UTS too.

My reason behind my statement is was Peaka said, it is extremely multimedia based, and like specialises in website stuff.....at the lecture for it at UNSW the guy said, if you're think media and communication is gonna give you journalistic skills you're in the wrong place -- and everyone left lol.

Definately, Sydney's course is broader, more intensive and allows journalism, radio, tv and stuff like that to come through more strongly.

yeah, media and communication at UNSW is more computing based than the one at USyd. So it's hard to say which one's better, it really depends on what you want to do.

If you want to go into the journalistic area, USyd might be better. But if you are thinking of becoming a web site designer or interested in computing media sorta stuff, UNSW's media and communciation might be better. OR you can even do Digital Media at UNSW - COFA. It is even MORE computing based than Media & Communication I think. And from what I heard, Digital Media is a lot more practical and you learn to use more professional programs.

UTS is better than U Syd for communications. UTS and Charles Sturt are the best places to go for those courses. Apparently they're looked upon more highly.
