Ok what I don't get is why people think now that he is dead, suddenly great music will stop.

We're all still listening to the same shit he put out 25+ years ago. With the exception of the early 90s, MJ hasn't actually released anything worth listening to since.

He's dead. The music is still there. Blah blah carry on.

The production of music the likes of The Beatles, Elvis and MJ has for the most part been extinguished. Most of today's stuff is ok, but it's never going to have that truly epic feel to it, I think that's the sentiment anyway.

I could understand the sentiment, to an extent, if he was still actively producing and putting out an amazing record every few years. He hasn't - we're still buying Thriller 25 years on. Yes that's a credit to him and the record, but realistically, MJ has been dead for years.

Whatever man, I just think it's a bit creepy when people get so invested in the life of someone they've never met.

He didn't cure cancer you fuckers, he moonwalked ffs

Exactly.

People fucking crying over someone they never met! What about the millions more who died around the world on the same day? Was MJ life worth more as a human being?

Nah the bit that is hard to comprehend...
ok
On FB people are all like 'omg listened to MJ all day lolz, he made such an impact on my life'. How. The. Fuck?

Ok e.g. I grew up with the Spice Girls. When I hear a Spice Girls song, I automatically think of the fun times I had with my friends as a 10 year old.
If Ginger Spice dies tomorrow, I'm not going to give a fuck, yeah? Because when I hear a Spice Girls song, I will just think of the fun times.

They played 'Light Surrounding You' at my Great Granddads funeral. Whenever I hear that song, I think of him. When Evermore die in a plane crash, I'm not going to give a shit anymore than any other person who dies in a plane crash.

Exactly.

I'd understand if the death automatically wiped every mp3 file ever in existence, but i doesn't. Therefore, since MJ has not been producing anymore good music in excess of what 15 years now, his death has no impact on the ability to listen to his classic tracks.

Not me. I'm not mourning for them. Just like I don't mourn for anybody else who hasn't been a part of my life in some way.

In any event, I don't think MJ was a paedo. I think he probably formed inappropriate bonds with young boys to live vicariously through them, but I don't think he was sexually attracted to them.

Less than four months before Jackson's death, one of his biographers, Ian Halperin, revealed that Jackson had a library of over 100 unreleased songs which he planned to have released after his death to support his children.[179]

Totally agree. He never had a childhood so he made up for it later. It was famous by age 5! Definite Peter Pan syndrome... Whenever I saw interviews with him, I always got the feeling his mental age was a lot younger than it should be.

He was a boy in a man's body. He just happened to be a multi millionaire which lead people to milk him for all he's worth.
