Soviet Army occupies Baltic States and Bessarabia.Treaty of Versailles.
- Allies reject Japan's request for a racial equality clause (this makes Japan all angry and stuff... not a good start)
- Germany are forced to accept the blame for the Great War, have to pay a ridiculous amount of reparations, military restrictions and etc. They just cop it badly really.
USA refuses to join League of Nations and decide to go for a policy of isolationism instead, but they kept their open door free trade policy with China.
1940
On the morning of Sunday the 7th of December 1941 Japan attacks Pearl Harbour in an attempt to keep the USA out of the war for two years.1941

Hehe, the Battle of Jutland ^^WE WANT 8 AND WE WONT WAIT! a british slogan for the government to build 8 deadnoughts. represents technological/industrial development. they were going up against germany to build these ships, even though they were only used in one battle during WWI of rather minor importance.

Russo-Japanese War I suppose. It's hardly relevant to our topic but it was mentioned briefly in the beginning of Conflict in the Pacific. Japan defeated Russia and it was sort of like a wake up call to the rest of the world because it was the first time an Asian country had defeated a European power.
