Hey guys, does anyone know how to approach the following question by any chance?
"Assess the role of communist theory in soviet foreign policy 1917-24"

I'm no expert on Russia, but I reckon it would be worthy to include, particularly considering the Q constricted to early Soviet times i.e. 1917-24, how the Marxist-Leninist idea of 'worldwide revolution' (which would constitute communist theory) influenced the formation of the Comintern - with purposes to incite Communist revolutions in other countries - Thus foreign policy. You could also argue the antithesis, suggesting that the state neglected communist theory at times i.e. when signing treaties e.g. Brest-Litovsk - they thus put the protection of Russia above communist interests.

Just some ideas I had off the cuff.
