Hey there!

I am about to kill myself cause english is driving me crazy!! I need some help structuring a spech that im trying to write on module b: speeches. Im doing (or at least trying to do) Aung San Suu Kyi's and Anwar El-Sadat's speeches.

The question is
‘Enduring ideas rely heavily on the devices used to convey them’
Write a speech you would use to address an audience on that topic

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

‘Enduring ideas rely heavily on the devices used to convey them’
Write a speech you would use to address an audience on that topic

1. Introduce Speech
2. Brief discussion of its ideas
3. Techniques used in speech (include specific quotes and examples)
4. Reiterate how these techniques help communicate the ideas of the speech to the audience

oh and for the 'speech layout' i would do something like:

Introduction: give brief adress to audience and outline what you'll be discussion

Speech One (Aung San Suu Kyi's)
(then use above structure)

Speech Two ( Anwar El-Sadat's)
(above structure)

Conclusion: brief summary/ answer introductory thesis of how devices (i.e. rhetoric techiniques) help to convey the ideas explored in the respective speeches.

hope that helped?

I am having this exact same problem! I'm not sure how to do it at all.
I'm doing Sadat and Pearson.
Should we be integrating the speeches in the same paragraphs or just having them seperate? Are we meant to be showing similar ideas between the two speeches?
Or three if we have to write three?

I hate this module so much.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the help jess

And tallicachild my teacher said to find one thing in common with both the speeches and do one para on one speech and link them via the common aspect and then do another para on the other speech. Most of the speeches use personal pronouns or call for change.
