Why would you break out laughing at them though? Isn't it their choice if they choose to pursue something based on prestige or materialistic purposes?Because I don't value cultural prestige and materialistic traits.
It's still extremely shallow. Why would you break out laughing at them though? Isn't it their choice if they choose to pursue something based on prestige or materialistic purposes?
Perhaps, but I'm guessing it's best not to burst out laughing at them, just keep the thought to yourself I suppose. It's still extremely shallow.
Really? So a degree from Princeton is basically the same as one from the U of Western Sydney!I know prestige doesn't matter one bit, as degrees are basically the same across all Universities.
Fine, I'll keep it down to a smug look.Perhaps, but I'm guessing it's best not to burst out laughing at them, just keep the thought to yourself I suppose.
Definitely agree with this - you will find that a lot of the top firms concentrate their recruitment campaigns and university engagement at the bigger unis. This isnt due to prestige, but largely due to the huge talent pool these unis offer.I do argue though that the top universities have more opportunities to gain work experience and ECs though, which does help in the short-term for getting that first internship/grad job to kickstart your career.
