Hi.

I'm planning on building a new comp but i'm having trouble understanding motherboards.
What i need is a good fast motherboard that allows me to put a P4 3.0 ghz 800fsb, that doesn't have builtin vid/sound etc., 4usb 2.0, 3-4ram slots that allow for fast 1gb p4 ram, a few pci slots, an agp slot and perhaps 1 isa slot.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? Like, explain which codes should i look for when choosing a motherboard?

Its because of codes like these which confuse me:

AX4SPE MAX2 (i865PE, DDR400, 6xSATA, SATA RAID, 8xAGP, 8xUSB2, IEEE 1394, 7.1 Channel Audio, G-LAN)

i865PE is the model of the chipset
DDR 400 means It supports DDR Ram which runs at 400 Mhz Speeds
6xSATA means it can allow up to 6 SATA devices to attach
8xAGP 8x As in the speed of the AGP Port
IEEE 1394 - Mean it supports firewire

any decent motherboard should have at least 4 usb 2.0 ports. if it has an agp slot, i doubt it'd have integrated graphics. most motherboards come with quite decent onboard sound now (like 5.1 digital)
