I hate english with the fire of a thousand suns.

I choose to do... nothing, except cramming before an exam/doing my assignments.

... I get by.

i think english is what killed the hsc for me
all my other subjects: ancient, religion one unit, jap and maths adv are really interesting but english? who cares? the syllabus is so boring, the texts themselves are fine until u analysise them all to death.
its by far my most disliked one, and the fact that everyones always talking about it makes it all the more annyoying

for me the hsc is over when ive finished that modules paper
after that, study will be interesting again, english just throws me off completely
seriously, im sure lots of ppl like it, but thats probably just the creative writing part which is understandable, but who cares about what techniques are used for all those dumb essays? how about words!

1) Acquire large chain
2) Acquire large padlock
3) Padlock self to chair with relevant englishy type material nearby
4) Throw key to other side of room
5) Write essays until starving/about to burst bladder
6) Either yell really loudly until someone helps or crawl in an extremely graceful fashion towards key on either side of room
7) Repeat as required (or until you realise its far less effort just to write your essays)

guys!

your forgetting the fun way of studying.
and YES there IS a fun way of studying!

make main points in your essay and then cut them out seperatley on peices of paper with each theme on them.

put them into a hat and draw them out.

and you play charades!

trust me it seriously works!

you remmeber all the hands on practical stuff soo good.

and like you know how charades starts off as either: movie/book/tv show?, all you have to do is use these but replace them with a theme.

eg:

i pick a point out of the hat and it says:

"Alcoholism can be seen in the novel, the simple gift through Buddys desire to overrule his life with the substance, and even lyes to his girlfriend about it"

[by the way that quote was made up just then hahah]

CBF :D

I like your thinking, woman. (Y)

I'm not going to study at all until 7:30. I value my Futurama too much. However, I shall attempt my Transformations & Powerplay essays until midnight. Moh.

Motivation of the day: "English counts no matter what. Oh holy fuck. SCREAM."

Yes, yes bebo bitch slaps it is!

In my trial paper - i got 5 marks for module C. LOL cause i was writing what i knew about frontline in dot points before i forget them all (was seriously unprepared for frontline before the trials) and i didnt even finish the dot points - i ran out of time...yeah so i got 5. :D

But everything else :D:D:D WIN!

Once Engalay is over - I'll be incredibly relieved.
