yeah, that is kind of true. listened to song without LP and at LP2 and LP4.

LP2 has no dectectable difference

LP4 sounds a bit flat, ie no strong bass and treble wasn't clear.

i've used both md and mp3

i would take md over mp3 anyday!

i hate how mp3 batteries sux doesn't even last me the entire day, the memory is limited and very expensive!

MDs are cheaper and better!
i only ever have to charge my MD for 3hrs and it lasts me 2-3weeks! using it 5days a week around 5hrs each day!
sif a mp3 can do that...

i like the external remote, hide the player in my bag and have the remote hanging or clip to one of my bag straps have access to every control though the remote

I don't care if it has a built in radio or not because my mobile phone has a radio. But I don't want to buy a super dodgy one. Any ideas of some shops, I really don't know what shops I should go to lol.... any suggestions?

What would you's be using it mostly for, i.e. travelling use more?

How many songs would you guys generally want on it

Is excellent quality of sound a important factor, or just good to normal quality sufficient?

Is the size of the player a factor too?

Would you rather have batteries you can insert or do you rather have in-built battery
Okay:

My price range is probably from about $150-200, IF I can get one that cheap.

I'd use it mostly for travelling.

Songs wouldn't worry me, more than 50 would be great.

Sound quality, not a bother, as long as there's no fuzziness.

Small and portable would be good.

Built in battery.

Anything?

I'd say an iRiver would do you pretty good , 128 meg one will be fine, go to digital city, it's opposite of dymocks on george street.
