I know IT students can often get free printing/use the IT building computing labs whenever their are no classes but it might well be the same with Software Engineering which may be useful.

Speaking of O-Week how has everyone's society experiences been, i.e. would you say has it been worth it to join one? I personally have not seen great frequency of events or much thats interesting and frankly worth it for me for my constituent ones. I was planning on going either today or on Monday to just join societies, but I think if I wanted to do that I'd just rock up and join on the day a society holds events.

My high school friend group does not tend to be active in society life so I think that's a big influencer for me.

one units up. i start later in the week and according to my calendar on students.mq i have one class first week so probably wont go first week

Yes, some are external- which makes things a lot easier. No social life through this semester! (It will be worth it though.)

In the Academic Year Plan 2019, it lists the second week of recess in the mid semester break as UA Common Week.

What is the UA Common Week?

Also giving free energy drinks when you least need it. They should open up the stall for end of sem exams lol.

Most universities only have a single week for holidays. So most Universities in Australia will have a single week of holidays at the same time.
