hi, Im trying to install Heroes of Might of Magic (as u can see in the background of my attachment), which i obtained through legal channels. But this thing comes up I press on anything?!

Try DOSbox - a program to emulate DOS and should run your game better.

If I remember correctly, you type

mount d: c:\games\homm\ (or whatever your HOMM folder is)
d:
executablehommfile.exe

no way HMM2 is so much more wicked. i like the older graphics for some reason. Shore the third one has more stuff , but i grew accustom to the second one.

For its time, HOMM 1 was so damn awesome... But 3 was easily the best of the series (4 sucked).

hehe, i never played 3. I had the CD, but it never worked on my computer, but worked on everyone else's computer.

i have same problem with a game that has to be run on DOS. and i downlaoded that program. but please tell me why i type mount d: ? and my d: is the CD drive


heres the pif of the program i dont know what to type . please tell me.

and this is the exe file name
INDY256.EXE

please tell me what exactly to type to make that game work

Mounting to d: doesn't do anything to your d: - it is a 'virtual drive', only accessible by the program.

Type

mount d: C:\Documents and Settings\Sasha\My Documents\indi
d:
INDY256.EXE

hey thanks for yuor help

i was lucky to stumble on to this D-Fend program. its a helping tool to use DOSBox
For anyone else who wants to play old DOS games and finds it hard to mount a drive, download this program and its seriosuly so easy. i got my favourite game working alright!!!

**You need to have installed Dosbox before hand**
