oh hey, can someone tell me if this is a worm? the following message keeps popping up when i talk to my friend on msn messenger:

Your buddy has a new Buddy Icon. Take a look! http://buddies.funbuddyicons.com

and do you know how to get rid of it? she says nothing shows up when she scans her computer

have you scanned with microsoft anispyware?

yeah, i know. trying to help her find out how to get rid of it, cos it's annoying me everytime i talk to her online.

how did your friend get rid of it? did they get rid of it?

Hmmm. Haven't heard of that yet. However, i did find Microsoft's GIANT Antispyware remover very good. At least an excellent supplement to Adaware.

dunno. i told her what you guys said, and she decided to dl adaware because the file is smaller than microsoft anispyware so it'll be faster. haven't had a chance to talk to her on msn to see if it worked or not though.

I wonder y MS has put the Beta version as a trial (150 days) even though the validation tool has already been used.

meh...turns out, my friend never finished downloading, cos she couldn't be bothered waiting for it to finish. what a stupid ass. so sorry, no idea if it works or not
