1.

HOW (or roughly how much) many participations/credits/distinctions/high distinctions did you get?

some participations
countless credits
1 distinction

2.

Would you participate in AMC if it was free?

It was year 12, I vow to never participate in the Maths competition EVER again because I'm sick and tired of competing with maths nerds all over NSW because I'd leave the competition to the HSC instead.
But then the head teacher of maths decided to shout us Year 12's a free go at the maths competition (even though it was $4 was it?) so marched in, had a go.
months later, a credit, yay k?

P.S. I got a text message from a Year 12 a week ago that he got his first credit in the maths competition, wtf?
and i never even gave a damn about 3 unit maths anyway (and now regret it)

Rock On

Year 7 - Used the $4 to buy food at the canteen. :) So I didn't do it.

Year 8 - High Distinction.

Year 9 - Credit.

Year 10 - Distinction.

Year 11 - This year. I'm guessing a participation.

Would you participate in AMC if it was free?

Yes!

I'm not really into these math comps. And besides, i get behind in school work and then have to catch up which is not good. Unless its during religion or some other crap subject like bio. I would go but otherwise, its too time consuming.

Attained a credit last year. Received a distinction today for Westpac Year 11 without doing any prep :D.

Depends on your school. Our school has like 2 decades worth of past papers (maybe even more) O_O I swear I saw one from the 1980's. They lend us a set with about 10 papers before the comp.
Wow...your school helps you prepare for Westpac? I didn't know people took it that seriously.

1. Arrived in Australia just before Yr9, since then I've participated every year and never received less than a Distinction.

2. Yes. I got a double period out of class for each competition I participated in. It's also challenging and mildly amusing.
