Just got my first task for English Advanced and its a Multimodal presentation on 1984 that can be done as a video with voice recording. Im planning on using prezi for slides and a voice over. For now I have picked "The Backwater Gospel" as my related text but am looking for better related texts or advice on my current choice. The task stimulus is on Rebellion, Inconsistencies, Anomalies in the human experience. Any tips and advice on the task would be appreciated.

Dulce Et Decorum Est as related text since its theme is similar to 184 plus its short and easy to integrate

I think any related text would be fine as long as you have resources on it and (just an optional thing) it's as distinct and different from the text type/form from your prescribed as much as possible. My friend did a short film like The Backwater Gospel as a related text for her 1984 speech and it worked out pretty well. For novels I'd almost always recommend for prose fiction doing either a poem or a film you've already done.

Bonus points (depending on your school) if the film/poem is a classic one (aka from the 20th century or before) with a well-known composer. It also makes it easier for you because there's bound to be analysis on it
