Can someone give me their answer for these multiple choice questions and the reasoning behind it?

Only q7 is required from q5-7 on one stimulus, and q16 from the other stimulus. Thanks in advance.

And could someone define "ratifying"? Thanks again.

16. The answer is C.

The police can approach the kids so its not A
The police can seize the cans since the kids shouldn't have them so its not B
The police are allowed to ask the kids questions, its the kids choice to answer them. So its C

5. Shane is an Accessory after the fact as the crime has been committed and Shane as knowledge of the crime and is willing to assist.

6. Answer is B as Alex has robbed a bank which falls under theft which is a property crime.

7. The answer would be B as they first conspired to rob a bank then actually committed the crime. You can gain that from the quote "planned to rob a bank"

Ratifying is when a state agrees to consent to a international treaty or law. It should be noted that the state still has not enacted the law, so at the state of ratifying the law is not enforced in the country.

Isn't a support person required though... :spzz:

For question 7, isn't the answer is D? As Conspiracy is a preliminary crime; a crime that can only occur when the principle crime (In this case, robbery) is prevented or fails?

Yes conspiracy is a preliminary crime, however you are getting 'attemps' and 'conspiracy' mixed up.

Attemps- Crime has not yet been carried out because the person who intended to do so has been caught in the planning stage or in attempt to carry out the crime.

Conspiracy - Two or more people jointly agree to commit a crime or unlawful act(s) together

Yep. The principal in the first degree can be charged with both.
