If I'm not mistaken the answer is A.

Moments are the turning action or torque, I believe, acting on a point. So moments around the pivot are found by finding Force times perpendicular distance.

M(around pivot - anticlockwise positive) = 200Ncos(30) * 0.15m - 200Nsin(30) *0.05m
= 20.98...Nm
= 21 Nm (nearest Nm)


In this case, the bolded is the horizontal component of the 200N force, and italics is the vertical component of the force, both multiplied by their respective perpendicular distances from the pivot.

The horizontal force is positive because it's acting in the same direction that we specified positive and the vertical force is negative because its against our specified direction (anticlockwise).

Hope this makes sense.
