:( devastating. I could probably get decent marks in this because my two songs that I'm doing are interesting vocally and I've practiced them a lot and they've both gone really well. I don't know if I'll be able to talk, let alone sing. Any advice?

Talk to your teacher. They'll no doubt say you'll need a Doctor's Certificate which shouldn't be hard to get.

start taking vitamins, gargle with saltwater (disgusting, but it works), drink hot water with lemon and honey, try to talk as little as possible, go to the doctor if you haven't already and get antibiotics for the ear.

don't eat scratchy foods like toast; stick to soft foods that will not make your throat any worse. get HEAPS of sleep and go for short walks if you're up to it to keep your body functioning. try to eat well, but avoid dairy and orange juice if possible - both of these are bad for the voice and produce heaps of phlegm - big no-no for singers.

hope you are okay - just rest that voice :) all the best
