some of it is easy, like polynomials, like so much so that it could be taught in 3u. these arent too hard to pick up

but other topics are totally new, like conics and mechanics which can get really hard at times. but if you put in the work then its quite doable

Even Conics isn't that hard to pick up. It's basically 3-unit parametric equations of the parabola, except this time you work with elipses, hyperbolas etc.

Z - Y = cis π/3 (X - Y)
Y - X = cis π/3 (Z - X)

=> (Z - Y) / (Y - X) = (X - Y) / (Z - X)
(Z - Y)(Z - X) = - (X - Y)²
Z² - YZ - XZ + XY = - X² - Y² + 2XY
=> X² + Y² + Z² = XY + YZ + XZ

Personally I thought that Mechanics was the easiest topic in the 4U course. It's just common sense and logic. I don't know why people find it so difficult.
