Reasons for the Cold War is simple. I'm praying nothing on Detente, but whatever they ask us we'll be asked to relate it to one of the crises.

why do u have to def relate it to a crisis? is that true? like is it said one question has to be on the crisis? jsut outa interest for the cold war, does every1 no all the crises, or did u jus learn one rly in depth and no general stuff 4 the others

I only know one crisis in depth and that's Cuba.

On the syllabus it says to know one in depth and they're always going to ask you a question focusing it on the crisis. Simple.

I reckon 4 Germany it'll B on the Nazi consolidation of power. Past exams hav been on anti-semitism and racism.

Any1 do Arab-Israeli conflict?

Not necessarily. Its only been two years in a row so you can't really call it a trend. The history exam writers were told to be 'unpredictable' this year so I wouldn't be suprised if there wasn't one. After all, if it was guaranteed there would be a crisis question every year, why would you bother studying everything else?

Personally for Germany I think Women & children (transformation of life under Nazi regime) and perhaps Weimar.

It was in our trial, but I didn't answer that questions cos I hadn't studied any of it (mind you I hadn't studied half the syllabus, it was a dramatic couple of weeks!). But yeah needless to say I am all studied up on it and could answer a question on it.

i reckon it will be peace attempts or versailles etc for world war one

consolidation of power or transformation of social life for Germany

Cold War, detente, how the summit meetings helped reduce conflict or success of containment...

yeah, we did cuba in depth too, but praying i don't have to answer anything on it (as in, hope the alternative is easier!)

Well, i'm hoping they have a question that includes us choosing one of the crises, because I studied Cuba like hell.

its pretty likely that theyll ask 2 broader questions this year though, as they are sposed to be "unpredictable"

the last 2 years asking crisis questions, ppl are gonna think they dun have to study nethign else..
