Well... we only learn from our mistakes... So next time when an opportunity comes along? Are u going to sit and whine like a bitch or take a chance? Man, you have to learn to put your balls on the chopping board and take a chance. Believe in your self, and take a fucking chance, whats there to loose? NOTHING !
Yet so much more to gain!!

Still plenty of fish in the sea. In your case, put some bait on your hook.

You need more self confidence. In every paragraph of your story, there's at least 1 self-loathing statement:

"I was too pathetic"
"I was too ashamed"
"I deserved to be chocked"
"I wasn't good enough"

You should speak to more girls, even if they're just friends.
You'll get more confident about having conversations with them. :)

Guys... If you meet someone special, tell her you love her when you really do. Don't wait around like me. The biggest regret in my life...

BLAH BLAH BLAH
You call that love? Don't be an idiot, you don't know her.

yup, that is one sad story, but the saddest thing is that shiny thought he wasn't
good enough for her. We're all human. If she thought shiny wasn't good enough,
then her standards are stupidly high.

I know what it feels like to let an opportunity go. Before I moved back to Australia,
I left behind my ex, who I could have easily gotten back with. We hooked up at my
leaving party, and I felt as if I could have had something going if I'd stayed. I've
never felt so comfortable with someone in my whole life. I even went out with
someone for 9 months while I've been in Aus, but I think about her even less
than the girl I left behind in the UK.

Letting an opportunity slip feels like crap, but you get over it.
