need a LIL HELP for the EYE (1 Viewer)

hey guys, i just need to answer these questions...

i have no idea and i cant seem to find any info on it

1. what part connects with the cornea at the back of the eyeball? ... i think its the retina... is that right? and

2. what is the black shiny material found in the back of the retina that is found commonly in some nocturnal aniimlas?

1. I dont really get the question, but I dont think the retina is connected to the cornea. My guess is the sclera (Im a bit rusty - is this word the right one?).

2. I believe its the rods (edit: sorry, I accidentally wrote cones before).

nah its not the cones... its something that starts with a 't'

it something that humans dont have but nocturnal animals do...

1. The cornea is the first focusing structure and is located on front of the eye and is an extension of the sclera. The retina is connected to the Choroid and the optic nerve.

2. The only information i can find is that nocturnal animals have more rods. which are better able to detect different intensities and shades of light as opposed to detail and colour. The light light sensitive molecule in rods is the rhodopsin.

I have no idea then. The "txxxxxx" is probably something made redundant/improved because of the dark environment of nocturnal animals.

Yeah, I guessed sclera because it connects to the cornea and goes all the way to the back. I still dont understand the wording of the question though.
