1) Do you consider taking ecstasy to be a normal behaviour?

No.

2) Within your social circles, do you know of anybody who takes ecstasy? If so, what proportion?

No.

3) Do you think society is accepting of ecstasy use in general?

It's becoming more prevalent. I think society accepts it as many new cases emerge during the weekends/holidays. In other words ecstasy is not a new thing anymore. It's a re-occurring thing.

4) Do you personally believe it is an acceptable practise?

No. It destroys lives.

5) Finally, could you please tell me your age and sex, and what you do.

16, Female, Full time high school student.

No. It destroys lives.
You can't answer no based on the fact that it 'destroys lives' when there is no evidence of that fact.

1) Do you consider taking ecstasy to be a normal behaviour?

Normal, meaning common and acceptable in a club/party/festival environment among my peers?
Sure

2) Within your social circles, do you know of anybody who takes ecstasy? If so, what proportion?

Yes. I don't know how many, 1/2 mabye. It's not something you shout to everyone "omg I've used pills occasionally".

3) Do you think society is accepting of ecstasy use in general?

Who is society? A today tonight phone-in poll, or a poll of my mates?

4) Do you personally believe it is an acceptable practise?

It's great and I encourage it.

5) Finally, could you please tell me your age and sex, and what you do.

Dude, what you're doing doesn't exactly work. A surveys purpose it to gauge opinions.

Doesn't particularly mean it's correct, but given it's a survey, there are no right and wrong answers here.

Opinions based on no information or wrong information are not the same as ones based on knowledge and evidence and they shouldn't be weighted equally like they are in this survey.

1) Do you consider taking ecstasy to be a normal behaviour?
not normal, no... but not necessarily abnormal....

2) Within your social circles, do you know of anybody who takes ecstasy? If so, what proportion?
nah i dont know of anybody who does xtc in my immediate social circle. i know "of" people who do it, but not within my crowd eh

3) Do you think society is accepting of ecstasy use in general?
i dont think society generally gives a shit about drugs like xtc. i think the general consensus is that it's a hippy rave drug for techno parties and that it might be bad coz that chick took it once and died (anna wood???). i think society is more afraid of ice and heroin...

4) Do you personally believe it is an acceptable practise?
i dont know about acceptable, but it doesnt worry me either way if people wanna do it. as long as they dont turn up to the hospital when im doing a shift dying.

5) Finally, could you please tell me your age and sex, and what you do.

It is interesting to see the huge divide in information and evidence supporting pro-use and opposing anti-use interests on the internet.

For instance, the pro-use guys in the other thread implying that ecstasy provides medical benefits, whilst simply reading over wiki will state there is more research needed. Graney did point that out, but others didn't.

It's unrealistic and flawed to expect that opinions are somehow 'weighted' based on the respondents supporting knowledge and evidence.

Define: Survey
"...a process for gathering information, without detailed verification, on the activity being examined..."define: survey - Google Search

1) Do you consider taking ecstasy to be a normal behaviour?
in the context of my own social environment, to not use is probably considered abnormal

2) Within your social circles, do you know of anybody who takes ecstasy? If so, what proportion?
about 80-90% amongst the social circles with which i actively and consistently engage. These circles cover the spectrum from trendy uni intelligentsia to outer-suburban derro wasters.

3) Do you think society is accepting of ecstasy use in general?
When guaged against 'general' public regard of heroin, meth, dope, booze etc.. i think that disco treats are drifting towards a scenario where their presence is largely tolerated...

4) Do you personally believe it is an acceptable practise?
Yeah sure, each to their own so long as no harm is caused other than to one's self.

5) Finally, could you please tell me your age and sex, and what you do.

1) Do you consider taking ecstasy to be a normal behaviour?
drinking water is 'normal'. doing a shit is 'normal'.

2) Within your social circles, do you know of anybody who takes ecstasy? If so, what proportion?
pretty commonplace within my 'social circle', which i suppose means cunts i know. i was one of the first to take it, out of my school grade, and got a lot of shit for it. atleast a year later i had stopped taking it and everyone else is doing them twice a month. trend-setter much?

3) Do you think society is accepting of ecstasy use in general?
who is society when i'm at home? if it's those people on the tv. no.

4) Do you personally believe it is an acceptable practise?
i think it's pretty stupid imho. but i'm not campaigning against it.

5) Finally, could you please tell me your age and sex, and what you do.

In a normal survey, all data would be collected and treated as equal and those sort of criticisms would usually be raised in a post hoc analysis of the data.

1) Do you consider taking ecstasy to be a normal behaviour?
Normal is ambiguous. Depending on the definition, either yes or no.

2) Within your social circles, do you know of anybody who takes ecstasy? If so, what proportion?
I'm not sure. My immediate social circle is quite small, though I'm sure I am friends with people who do.

3) Do you think society is accepting of ecstasy use in general?
I think it is an issue that probably divides the public, depending on perspective. Most people will either be for it, or against it, and ignore any argument otherwise.

4) Do you personally believe it is an acceptable practise?
I myself would not. But that's a personal choice. People should have the right to control their own bodies.

1) Do you consider taking ecstasy to be a normal behaviour?
Not really.

2) Within your social circles, do you know of anybody who takes ecstasy? If so, what proportion?
Yeah a few. Mainly the older ones actually. The one or two that are my age that do are frowned upon for being 'druggos' etc

3) Do you think society is accepting of ecstasy use in general?
No, i think society looks at xtc the same way as coke and speed, worse than pot, not as bad as ice and shit

4) Do you personally believe it is an acceptable practise?
Do what you want. I dont believe it is mainly because its illegal.

5) Finally, could you please tell me your age and sex, and what you do.
