Hello!
Our English class was given an assessment task that is due by this Thursday regarding Ted Hughes' poetry. As I pretty much have been away for ~4 English lessons due to extra activities, I was unable to catch up with the rest of my class.
The question is:
'Poetry is a powerful expression of human experience. Explore how this idea is represented in two poems you have studied in class.'
Firstly, I don't quite understand the question. Is it asking how the poems relate to/are a metaphor of humans?
Secondly, my two choices (because they are the easiest ) are 'Hawk Roosting' and 'The Jaguar'. Are there any other poems by Ted Hughes that can be analysed more easily?
Any ideas/pointers are appreciated!
