I need alot of help for year 10 School Certificate grade History and Geography.
To be more specific the topics I really need specialising in are as follows
HISTORY
-Gough Whitlam and the Dismissal
-Aboriginal (everything about them)
-Do we have to know about women? If so what? (Please be mature =.=)

u dont have to do gough whitlam and the dismissal..there is a list for it..i did the republiclism, so i cant give u any note

-Aboriginal (everything about them)

u mostly needs to know the order of the policy..
from pateralism, protection, assimilation, integration and self-determination..
the main events u might need to know is the referendum and the mabo case.
search for it if u wants detail.

-Do we have to know about women? If so what?

there is a choice between migration and women..u only need to do one between the two..i did migration so i cant help u there as well.

I'll help you about Aboriginals, with a very brief outline because it is currently my best topic out of all the history ones you have. This is from memory and missing out 2 days worth of SC revision, bear with me.

Policies:
Protection late 1800s to early 1900s.
- based on the notion of paternalism
- Aboriginal people were removed from their traditional lands and placed on reserves
- They had no citizen ship rights and were completely dependent on the administrators of the reserves
- Little respect for aboriginal culture and heritage.
Assimilation-
- definition: absorbing of one culture/heritage to another
- based on the belief that aboriginal people were willing to sacrifice their culture/identity to become part of white society.
- based on the belief aboriginal people were inferior to white people.
- aimed to absorb aboriginal people into mainstream australia.
- Children of 'mixed blood' were removed from aboriginal influences and placed on reserves where life was harsh.
- Lead to the tragedy of the stolen generation.
Integration: (1965)
- Government was forced to review it's policy after Aboriginal protests, and freedom ride.
- This was believed to be better than assimilation because it gave aboriginal people what they struggled so hard for.
- The idea behind integration was that all Australians would be treated equally.
- Fact remained that discrimination/racism was very much alive in country towns.
Self determination (1972)
- Introduced by Labour leader Gough Whitlam
- Self determination def: all Aboriginal people would have the same rights and freedoms as other Australians and choose the way they live.
- This sparked the campaign for landrights
- This lead to special facilities for Aboriginal people: health etc..

Well you don't really need to know about women. They usually have a question:
What were the changing rights and freedoms in the 20th century for:
Women
Aboriginals
Immigrants

and you get to choose.

Okay. Now to further test my memory with something I can't possibly stand GEOGRAPHY!!

Australia's regional and global links.
- Aid
- Foreign aid is the transfer of money, goods and services from a developed country to a developing country.
- Developing country is a term used to describe the world's poorest countries where most people have low economic standards of living.
- The australian government aims to reduce poverty in developing countries.
- AUS-AID manages the program.
- The program aims to reduce poverty and achieve sustainable development in line with Australia's national interest.
- AUSAID also advises and supports the minister.
- Coordinates poverty reduction activities in partnership with developing countries.
- Australia's gives aid because we want to be a good global citizen.
- 1 Billion people live on less that 1USD a day
- 2 billion people have no access to clean water
- 150 million children will never get to go to school
- Australia see Official Development Assistance (ODA) as an important social justice and equity issue.
- Australia helps partner governments improve law and order, prevent and recover from conflict, and manage transnational threats such as people trafficking, illicit drugs, HIV/AIDS and other communicable diseases.
- By building stable governments and stronger communities, Australia improves their ability to become stable trading partners.
- In 2009-10 Australia will provide $3.8 billion dollars worth of ODA.
- All Australians contribute to the Australian government aid program.
- Every week Australians contribute about $3.30 to the aid program. This is about 1% of government expenditure compared to the 33% spent on social security and welfare.
- Most of Australia's aid goes to the Asia Pacific Region
- The international community recognises Australia's leading role in the region especially in PNG and the Pacific.
- Australia's aid geographic focus also makes sense because 2/3 of the world's poor, some 800 million people reside in the Asia Pacific yet receive only 1/3 of total aid flows.
- Australia will continue to provide selective assistance to the middle east and africa through international and non government organisations.

That is all I know about AID. Our geo lessons are all bludge. Only the assessments give me knowledge. I still have no information on Future Challenges so can someone give me some info for it.

I'll happily provide my knowledge for NGOs for it.
