Anyone had one yet? I had my first hsc related breakdown today, most embarrassing thing ever. Extension english triggered the bad mood, then drama gp intensified it, artwork fucking up was the last straw. Walked down at recess to the movement studio for drama practice, whole group didn't bother to show up and I cried lol.

Thats hardly a nervous breakdown.
Not to be a nit picker, but considering my mothers had one, i hate the term being thrown around loosely.

In terms of little freak outs, which is what you're descriving, I've had one or two. Its been a rough and tiring year. Loving it though.

Haven't had one since Half Yearlies. I'm kinda apathetic at the moment, though. Kinda ignoring trials to work on the final works I haven't really been all that bothered about before now. Ask me in a week, I'll probably be lying on the floor somewhere shaking and bawling like I've gone through birth trauma all over again or something.

Buuut I'm the kinda SOB who doesn't have to try very hard to achieve, so.

Worrian nevar got anyone anywhere, brah. *thumbs up*

Nervous breakdowns are quite common in my opinion, as i think they are from the pressure created by the stress of the HSC. Ive seen some one go into a nervous breakdown and i can tell you its seriously not fun trying to get them out of it...
i'll let you know in about 4 weeks if i end up in one....

hmmm this nervous breakdown seems to only affects the females
males appear to be immune to this??

sorry if i sound sexist but theres a pattern developing

Q7. Identify possible reasons which cause higher emotional stress among females compared to males. [3 marks]

- pms

- guys can go do like bricklaying or stuff like that if they fail at school
girls generally do not have as many noneducation based post-school options open to them so they might have more... scaredness if they screw up where guys can just be like fuck it im gona be a bricklayer (not saying girls cant be bricklayers just there arent many)

- guys generally give less of a fuck

(first one might of partially made sense the rest i dno lol)
